Avi Cohen and Lois Parmenter met eight years ago while they were both working in Auckland at Al Brown’s Depot Eatery. Since they have been together, they have moved to Queenstown to work for Amisfield Winery and then to London. There, their passion for giving people an awesome experience that they remember and that brightens even the darkest day served them well in the pubs of the city centre. They escaped a year of lockdown during the pandemic and returned to Avi’s hometown of Christchurch to open six ounces, a cafe and bar they hope is a haven in the suburbs for the lovely locals of Merivale and St Albans.
